> Challenges from Scientific Literature: Norway's national library search engine, ORIA, and Scopus were used to find the literature on Asset Management challenges. The key words used for searching include 'Asset', 'Management', and 'Challenges'. The relevancy of the study was assessed based on the Abstract first, and then skimming the full text of the shortlisted studies to identify the Asset Management challenges. Disciplines within Asset Management, such as Maintenance, Digital tools, BIM, etc. are considered to a level where these are linked to Asset Management concept, and their underlying issues such as challenges within Maintenance modelling, etc. are not considered. The literature is then gathered in Microsoft Excel for analysis, with the following attributes: • Reference of the article • Source type: Journal, conference, report, etc. • Publisher: Academic or Professional • Study type: Scientific or non-Scientific • Peer-reviewed: Yes / No • Year of Publish • General or Industry-specific challenge • Asset Management Concept related- or Discipline specific-challenge • Challenges identification technique: Literature review, interview, survey, etc. > Challenges from Professional reports: Forbes was used as a starting point to identify the top consulting firms across the globe. Forbes uses a systematic approach for rating the top Management Consulting firms, including conducting Surveys of consultants, clients (executives) in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany, and a global survey of 8,500 consultants in 29 countries across all continents. Although there was no specific functional area for ‘Asset Management’ but choosing the closest functional area, such as Strategy, Organization Management, Operations Management, etc. resulted in 10 organizations with highest rating. These organizations were searched individually using the terms 'Engineering Asset Management', 'Enterprise Asset Management challenges', and 'Engineering Asset Management challenges survey'.
