This dataset contains coded effect size data extracted from 30 eligible primary studies for a meta‑analysis exploring the correlation between academic self efficacy and test anxiety among Chinese secondary school students. The dataset includes Fisher’s Z transformed correlation coefficients, moderator coded variables such as grade level, geographic region, and measurement instrument categories.

Steps to reproduce
This meta‑analysis followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature retrieval and screening were completed according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria described in the associated manuscript. Effect size coding and moderator variable coding were performed independently by two coders. Comprehensive Meta‑Analysis Version 3 software was used for all meta‑analytic computations, including overall effect size estimation, subgroup analysis and mixed‑effects meta‑regression. The uploaded csv file contains extracted effect‑size data and coded moderator variables for included studies.
