Description

This dataset provides a curated, provenance-preserving research resource for laser powder bed fusion/selective laser melting (LPBF/SLM) of high-entropy alloys, multi-principal-element alloys, and related compositionally complex metallic systems. It contains study-level metadata, alloy compositions, LPBF process conditions, relative-density and mechanical-property records, engineered process and composition descriptors, provenance and quality-control fields, model-ready datasets, validation outputs, uncertainty estimates, applicability-domain diagnostics, out-of-domain analyses, process-window screening results, and supporting reproducibility files. The development database contains data curated from 38 experimental studies published between 2018 and 2024. The principal modelling outcome is relative density/densification, with ultimate tensile strength and tensile yield strength represented as secondary outcomes and hardness and elongation retained for exploratory analyses. The resource preserves condition-level provenance and distinguishes directly reported, calculated, digitized, and inferred values where applicable. The package also includes processed datasets and analysis outputs used for machine-learning evaluation under random, publication-grouped, lineage-grouped, alloy-family, composition-distance, and temporal validation settings. Supporting records include uncertainty-calibration outputs, applicability-domain distances, out-of-domain predictions, secondary mechanical-property predictions, and applicability-domain-constrained process-screening candidates. A reproducibility archive is included containing analysis code, environment specifications, model configurations, verification scripts, result tables, and supporting documentation. Third-party full-text articles and copyrighted source figures are not redistributed. The dataset is intended as a reusable research resource for materials informatics, additive manufacturing, LPBF process modelling, machine-learning validation, uncertainty quantification, and high-entropy alloy process–property research. It is deliberately described independently of any single manuscript title so that the repository remains a stable research-data record if associated publications are revised or submitted elsewhere.
