This dataset provides the supplementary research data supporting the article “What Contemporary Gestalt Therapy Research Can—and Cannot—Support: A Critical Evidence Map, 2019–2026”. The workbook contains: (1) documentation of the verification searches and search families; (2) a multilingual specialist-journal and association-archive sweep; (3) a report-level dataset recording bibliographic verification, study design, sample characteristics, intervention classification, outcomes, comparators, assessment points, and direction of effect; (4) project-level sample-size calculations; (5) a structured, design-sensitive appraisal; (6) excluded and boundary candidates; and (7) an operational coding dictionary.

Consult S1_Search_Log for the documented verification searches and search-family procedures and S1_Journal_Sweep for the multilingual specialist-journal audit. Verify candidate publications against the DOI, publisher record, journal record, repository record, and/or accessible original report before extracting study-level information. Apply the operational definitions provided in Coding_Dictionary, including the intervention-status and corpus-status rules. Use the Project identifier to link multiple reports derived from the same participant project and avoid double-counting project samples. Consult S2_Report_Dataset for report-level extraction and verification fields and S2_Sample_Summary for project-level sample-size calculations. Consult S3_Appraisal for the design-sensitive appraisal of outcome/implementation evidence. Consult Excluded_Candidates for borderline, duplicate, theoretical, nonclinical, or insufficiently verifiable records considered during the audit.
