Description

This study explores the bibliometric analysis of the research domain “Open Innovation (OI) in Higher Education”. The documents retrieved for the analysis were from the period 2015 to 2025. R-Studio Bibliometrix was the tool used for the analysis. The study analyzed 20 various areas of the research domain to understand the current trend of research as well as identify the scope for future directions. The results of the analysis provide insights into how OI can be implemented in Higher Education settings. The growth for the decade is 28.21%, which indicates that there is an immense opportunity/ scope for OI to transform conventional ways of Higher Education. It helps the system to be more globally competitive by addressing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and enhancing the skills of the students to deal with real-world professional and societal challenges. With this, it can generate social impact overall.
