Leonardo Lopes CostaDescription
This dataset contains beach litter data collected from sandy beaches along the southeastern coast of Brazil, including litter abundance, density, Clean Coast Index (CCI), beach characteristics, and environmental and anthropogenic variables. Records are classified according to vegetation habitat (Vegetacao), with NV representing the non-vegetated supralittoral habitat and V the adjacent vegetated habitat. For the analyses presented in the associated manuscript, only beaches represented by both V and NV habitat levels were included, allowing paired comparisons between vegetated and non-vegetated habitats. Therefore, the complete dataset contains additional beach records that were not included in the analyses of the manuscript.
