Scopus and Web of Science metadata for: A Scientometric Review of Network Selection in Heterogeneous Smart Grids

This dataset contains the bibliometric metadata (.RIS format) of 91 scientific peer-reviewed articles analyzed in the study titled 'A Scientometric Review of Network Selection in Heterogeneous Smart Grids: Trends, Practical Gaps, and Resource-Constrained Opportunities' . The raw data was extracted from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, covering the period from 2011 to October 2025 . The dataset includes citation information, authors, abstracts, and keywords related to network selection, heterogeneous wireless networks, Smart Grids, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), and decision-making algorithms (such as MCDM and Machine Learning). The data curation process followed the PRISMA guidelines. This final dataset was utilized to perform a comprehensive scientometric analysis, including co-authorship networking, temporal production dynamics, and Cartesian thematic mapping using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny (Bibliometrix) software tools. This data is shared to facilitate the reproducibility of the experiments and to promote rigorous data analysis in the field of smart grid communications.
