Spectral data from Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Copper, and Wood materials were collected using a spectrometer equipped with advanced on-chip filtering technology. This spectrometer features up to 8 wavelength-selective photodiodes arranged in a compact 9x9mm array. The spectrum was divided into eight distinct bands with selectivity ranging from 400 to 1100 nm. The collected spectral data are used to classify the different materials, leveraging machine learning techniques to accurately distinguish between Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Copper, and Wood.
