Regional Portuguese exports during the Great Recession

This repository contains the data and replication file supporting the article "Portuguese exports during the Great Recession: regional heterogeneity in export responses to domestic demand shocks" by Carlos Carreira and Luís Lopes, published in the Applied Economic Journal. Together, the data and code enable full replication of the empirical results reported in the article, including tables and figures. Contents: 1) regexp_database.dta: Firm-level dataset used in the empirical analysis (Portuguese five mainland NUTS II regions, 2010-2019). 2) regexp_v2.do: Stata code required to reproduce all tables, figures, and econometric results reported in the article.

Steps to reproduce

Place the database (.dta) and the Stata do-file (.do) in the same directory and run the do-file in Stata.
