Dataset for: Teaching Daytime Toileting Skills to Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Through a Parent-Mediated Multisensory Intervention

This dataset contains raw and processed data from a study examining the effectiveness of a mother-delivered multisensory intervention for teaching daytime toileting skills to children with autism spectrum disorder. The dataset includes mothers’ toilet-training knowledge assessment scores, mothers’ dryness-recording skill data, mothers’ implementation data for the multisensory instructional material, mothers’ implementation fidelity data for the daytime toilet-training procedure, and children’s daytime toileting performance data. The dataset includes baseline, intervention, generalization, fading, and follow-up phase data. Follow-up assessments were conducted at 1, 3, and 5 weeks after the intervention.

Steps to reproduce

Data were collected following the single-case experimental design described in the associated manuscript. Mothers completed training and implemented the intervention with their children. Data were collected across baseline, intervention, fading, generalization, and follow-up phases using researcher-developed measurement tools. Scores were calculated as the percentage of correctly completed steps, and reliability and treatment integrity procedures were applied as described in the manuscript.
