Description

This SPSS dataset contains survey responses from 286 public and semi-public sector employees in the UAE, supporting the BMC Psychology study "Work autonomy and work effort under perceived performance-contingent reassignment/dismissal policies: parallel affective pathways in the UAE". The cross-sectional data reveals an asymmetry in the downstream affective pathways: work autonomy is indirectly associated with work effort specifically through reduced negative affect and increased happiness at work, rather than through positive affect.
