Experimental dataset on the cognitive effectiveness and usability of CMMN+
Description
This dataset contains the experimental data collected during a controlled between-subject study comparing the standard Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN) with its notational variant, CMMN+. The study involved 55 undergraduate participants randomly assigned to one of two groups: a control group (n=28) working with standard CMMN models, and an experimental group (n=27) working with CMMN+ models. Participants completed two task types: an interpretation part comprising 43 true/false statements across five comprehension blocks based on three case models, and a modeling part comprising two short healthcare scenarios scored against a predefined scheme. The dataset reports accuracy and completion speed for both parts and their combined scores, together with perceived ease of use (12 items) and perceived usefulness (4 items) measured on seven-point Likert scales. The data are provided as a PDF document that also includes the complete questionnaire used in the experiment. Speed and perceived ease of use values are winsorized at the 5th and 95th percentiles.
