This survey was conducted in 2019 to collect scholarly perspectives about the design qualities and reading experiences of academic journals. This survey was distributed to discipline-specific email listservs, message boards, Slack groups, and social media (Twitter and Facebook) to ensure responses from a range of fields and disciplines. No personal data was collected. This study received approval for human subjects research from both institutions.
