Description

The data set contains corrected stress-strain data of natural mafic granulite samples experimentally deformed in triaxial compression at temperatures of 950 – 1150°C and a confining pressure of 300 MPa, at varying strain rates between 10-4 s-1 and 10-6 s-1, and other relevant data of the figures in the paper. Depending on the applied conditions, which are nominally in the semi-brittle and ductile deformation regimes of mafic granulite, we observed the deformation characteristics of the brittle-ductile transition of natural mafic granulite. The experiments were performed on the cylindrical samples using a gas (argon) confining medium apparatus at State Key Laboratory of Earthquake Dynamics, Institute of Geology, China Earthquake Administration, Beijing, China. The zip-file ‘Data’ contains the raw data files recorded during deformation experiments. The calculated stress–strain data is show in the excel file named after Stress-Strain.xlsx. The zip-file ‘FTRdata’ contains the raw data files were measured by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Major element compositions of mineral grains show in the word file named after EPMA.docx. Grain sizes show in the excel file named after gain size.xlsx. The zip-file ‘EBSD’ contains the EBSD results.
