Macroinvertebrate communities affected by intermittence and/or pollution
Description
Data linked to the prepared manuscript "Interactive effects of flow intermittence and pollution on macroinvertebrate-based bioassessment in temperate streams". Contains sites x invertebrate taxa matrix, calculated biomonitoring metrics and physical-chemical parameters measured on sites affected by intermittence and/or pollution. Invertebrate data were obtained by 3-minutes multihabitat kick sampling (PERLA protocol), manually sorted and identified by specialists. 12 physicochemical variables were measured twice (spring and autumn season): conductivity (COND; μS.cm-1), the concentration of total phosphorus (TP; mg.L-1), total nitrogen (TN; mg.L-1), total organic carbon (TOC; mg.L-1), total carbon (TC; mg.L-1), ammonium (NH4+; mg.L-1), nitrate (NO3-; mg.L-1), chloride (Cl-; mg.L-1), calcium (Ca2+; mg.L-1), sodium (Na+; mg.L-1), dissolved oxygen (O2; mg.L-1), and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5; mg.L-1).
