Pedro Pablo AguileraDescription
This analysis, referring to LatamChequea in Latin America as an alliance of 30 fact-checking centers on distorted information related to COVID-19 throughout 2020, leads us to conclusions regarding the quality of information on this issue and the role of control by the fact-checking centers as spaces for verifying the quality of information on this topic today and on others in the future. Methodologically, the work continues the content analysis perspective, proposed by Salaverría et al., (2020) when analyzing fact-checking centers in Spain; it is fair to recognize that it is the conceptual foundation of this work.
