Database and replication files of the manuscript "Has the iron fist against criminal gangs really worked in El Salvador?"

Description

The file includes all the data and files necessary to replicate the results of the paper "Has the iron fist against criminal gangs really worked in El Salvador?".

Steps to reproduce

In order to replicate the results shown in the paper, execute the do-file salvador-master.do, indicating the path of the folder …/salvador/ in your computer. The file salvador-data01.do prepares the main databases of interest for estimation. The file salvador-ana01 generates all the results presented in the table with the exception of Figure 2 (generated by salvador-ana02.do) y Figure 3 (generated by salvador-ana03.do).
