Description

This dataset contains the reference time-of-use (TOU) electricity tariff data used in the techno-economic assessment of a 1 MW / 2 MWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) commercial and industrial (C&I) battery energy storage system co-located with a site whose monthly peak demand is 2 MW. All prices are in CNY per kWh and all time blocks are expressed in local 24-hour clock. The dataset comprises three CSV files: (1) henan_monthly_tou_tariff_oct2025_sep2026.csv - a rolling 12-month (October 2025 to September 2026) TOU series for C&I users in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, taken from the State Grid Henan monthly purchase-on-behalf (agent procurement) tariff announcements. It reports the valley price, the peak/super-peak price and the resulting peak-valley spread for each month (annual means: 0.3798, 1.1338 and 0.7540 CNY/kWh, respectively). (2) zhengzhou_henan_block_tariff_jul_sep2026.csv - the detailed block-level Henan tariff (valley, flat, peak, super-peak) with its associated time blocks for two representative months, July 2026 and September 2026. (3) jinan_shandong_block_tariff_jul_sep2026.csv - the detailed block-level Jinan (Shandong Province) C&I TOU tariff for the same two months, including a deep-valley block of 0.06 CNY/kWh in September 2026. The tariffs are transcribed from official provincial TOU tariff announcements (cited as references [7] and [29] in the companion manuscript) and are reproduced as Tables 1, 2 and 5 of the manuscript "Peak-Valley Arbitrage and Demand-Charge Coordination of Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage under Time-of-Use Tariffs: A Load-Factor Screening Criterion" (Wang S., Zheng S.). A README.txt file documents the file layout and the data provenance. These files contain publicly available reference tariffs only. No proprietary, measured or site-specific load data, and no model outputs (such as payback periods, internal rates of return or optimal charge-discharge schedules), are included. The data may be reused under the CC-BY 4.0 licence, with attribution to the original official announcements and to this dataset.
