This dataset contains the processed quantitative data supporting the figures in the manuscript “Zmlaccase2 is essential for cuticle pigmentation and development in the edible insect Zophobas morio”. The Excel file includes RT-qPCR relative expression data, RNAi survival data, body weight changes, pupation rates, adult emergence rates, and body length and body weight measurements of CRISPR/Cas9-induced Zmlaccase2-edited G0 individuals. The data correspond to the qPCR analyses, RNAi functional assays, and CRISPR/Cas9 phenotypic analyses presented in the manuscript. dsGFP represents the control RNAi treatment, dsZmlaccase2 represents the Zmlaccase2 RNAi treatment, WT represents wild-type larvae, and Mut represents Zmlaccase2-edited G0 individuals.
