Morphological and Molecular Characterization of Nepalese Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Landraces
Description
This dataset contains raw and processed data supporting the study on genetic and phenotypic diversity of 58 common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) landraces. It includes morphological trait measurements (both qualitative and quantitative), SSR marker allele-based data, and metadata describing all variables used in the study. The dataset also provides information on the collection of 58 landraces from 24 districts of Nepal. Morphological data include both individual observations and summarized values (means), along with detailed descriptions of qualitative and quantitative traits and their measurement protocols. Molecular data consist of SSR marker profiles used for genetic diversity analysis. These datasets were used to perform statistical analyses including principal component analysis (PCA), principal coordinate analysis (PCoA), analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA), population structure analysis, cluster analysis, and diversity assessment.
