The sythesis of phosphorus sequestration in 108 global lake sediments during the Holocene
Description
Lake sediments provide a unique archive of past phosphorus (P) burial fluxes and potentially record the disruption of the global P cycle. Here we reconstruct lake-wide P burial rates during the Holocene based on published sediment-P data of 108 lakes across the globe and assess the temporal dynamics of P sequestration in lake sediments at global and regional levels. The dataset is from Tu et al. (2023) "Anthropogenic modification of phosphorus sequestration in lake sediments during the Holocene: A global perspective".
