PLEASE REFER TO: Journal: Applied Ocean Research n. 129 Dec 2022 DOI : 10.1016/j.apor.2022.103360 Title : Computational hydroacoustic analysis of the BB2 submarine using the advective Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings equation with Wall-Modeled LES The repository contains data to reproduce many of the graphs shown in the paper and can be used for validation and comparison. The numerical techniques, hypothesis and models adopted to produce this dataset are well described in the manuscript. Data are organized in folders, named with the unique number that identify the figure in the paper. Together with the data is always present a Python script that loads files and plot figures.

Steps to reproduce
These data are the results of computational fluid dynamic project. The steps involved are maily two: 1. Wall-modeled Large-Eddy Simulation of the BB2 submarine at Reynolds number equal to 1.2 M; 2. Computational hydroacoustic analysis using the acosutic analogy of Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings in advective form. Scaling laws are applied to the acoustic pressure filed in order to take into account the real physical dimensions of the submarine. The unsteady fluid-dynamic fields, as water velocity or its pressure, has been then time-averaged during the post-processing.
