Supplementary data: Soil development in a maar lake basin in Central Mexico based on micromorphology and magnetic mineralogy
Description
The files in this dataset provide the results corresponding to the magnetic mineralogy of the three sites MJ1, MJ2 and MJ3 located in the crater rim of the Majahual Lagoon in Veracruz, Mexico. The excel file “Magnetic_parameters. xlsx” contains the data of the susceptibility experiments as a function of frequency (χdf%), the isothermal remanence saturation (SIRM), the ratio between anhysteretic remanence and isothermal remanence saturation (ARM/SIRM), the S and HIRM parameters both at 300 mT, the characteristic values of the hysteresis cycle and backfield curve (Hcr/Hc and Mr/Ms) only for some of the horizons, as well as the components derived from the analysis of the coercivity decay in the IRM curve (Bh and DP). The “UnMix” folder contains the png images of the coercivity decomposition using the Max-UnMix platform (https://maxunmix.shinyapps.io/MAX_UnMix_final_version/). The “Temperature-dependent susceptibility” folder contains the raw files of the temperature-dependent susceptibility curves performed on the MFK-FA equipment at low and high temperatures.
