Description

Source-attributed compilation of published ethylene carbonate solubility, component-extraction percentages, and fluid-loading data supporting Figures 5 and 6 of the associated critical review. The files include source locations, uncertainty definitions, unit conversions, and reproducible plotting code. No new experimental measurements were generated.

Steps to reproduce

This dataset is a literature-derived compilation supporting Figures 5 and 6 of the associated review. No new experimental measurements were generated. 1. Source data: Published numerical values and their reported uncertainties were compiled from Table 1 of Zachmann, Cicconardi and Ebin (2025; DOI: 10.3390/batteries11030098) and Tables 2–3 of Zachmann and Ebin (2025; DOI: 10.1016/j.jcou.2025.103145). The original publications and table locations are documented in README.txt and the accompanying workbook. 2. Data organization: Open SPT_Supplementary_Data_S1.xlsx. The EC_reported, BM_reported and EC_loading worksheets contain the source values and associated conditions. The Plot_data worksheet contains formula-linked plotting values and explicit unit conversions. Consult the Readme worksheet and README.txt for uncertainty definitions and interpretation limits. 3. Software setup: Download all four repository files into the same folder. Open a terminal in that folder and install the listed Python dependencies using: python -m pip install -r requirements.txt 4. Figure reproduction: Run: python reproduce_data_figures.py --output plots The script reads the cached numerical results in the Plot_data worksheet and saves Figures 5 and 6 in TIFF, PDF and SVG formats in the plots folder. The supplied workbook already contains the cached formula results required by the script. 5. Interpretation: Preserve the uncertainty definitions given in the source publications. The black-mass extraction configurations differ in both pressure and feed mass, so their differences cannot be attributed to pressure alone. Pure-component equilibrium solubility and black-mass fluid loading represent different quantities. No new model fitting, statistical pooling or synthetic observations are used.
