Description

The attached material contains detailed chemical analyses of tremolite samples collected from eleven different localities. Specifically, Supplementary Figure 1 illustrates the concentrations of various trace elements—such as Ag, As, Ba, Co, Cr, Cu, Li, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sn, Zn, and Zr—plotted on a logarithmic scale to effectively visualize both low- and high-abundance elements. Alongside this, Supplementary Figure 2 focuses on the specific zinc (Zn) concentrations across the same samples, utilizing dotted and dark columns to clearly distinguish the non-asbestos tremolite varieties. Both trace element datasets were determined using ICP-OES following acid digestion, mirroring the analytical protocol of the main manuscript. Furthermore, the document provides the average major and minor element concentrations (expressed in wt% with standard deviations) obtained via EPMA/EDS analysis, sourced from Bloise (2023).
