Sentinel-1 Iceberg Areas

Description

More than 4000 icebergs were matched in co-located Sentinel-1 SAR acquisitions and optical Sentinel-2 acquisitions. The dataset provides tables of individual iceberg areas in square meters, backscatter statistics, the incidence angle, wind speed and air temperature from meteorological reanalysis data, and the corresponding iceberg area obtained from Sentinel-2 data. The tables are distinguished by the polarization channel wherein icebergs were detected in the Sentinel-1 data and the probability of false alarm (1e-6, 1e-12) used in the constant false alarm rate algorithm. Additionally, the tables include metadata on the detection date and sensor parameters.
