In this dataset, we present the reference lists for 152 articles that were used in our scoping review for the article entitled: "Seeing coffee tourism through the lens of coffee consumption: A critical review"

Steps to reproduce
Keywords were used to identify the relevant articles on coffee consumption and coffee tourism. To compile the variation of the words used in coffee consumption and coffee tourism, we used three combinations of keywords with the Boolean search (AND and OR), as explained in Table 1 in our article. The result came up with 687 articles. The relevant studies were retained based on the inclusion criteria. A manual check was conducted to eliminate duplication, resulting in the exclusion of 288 articles. Next, a thorough examination of the research contexts of the 399 papers was conducted. In addition, we removed articles that did not have coffee consumption or coffee tourism as the core research context and only included coffee terms in their reference lists. In the end, 152 articles were selected for further analysis.
