CAPL-2 Colombia: Reproducible characterization of physical literacy in Colombian schoolchildren
Description
This dataset contains the analytical materials and reproducible R Markdown workflow used to characterize physical literacy with the CAPL-2 Colombia version in a multicenter sample of Colombian schoolchildren aged 8–12 years. The workflow includes national and regional descriptive analyses, official CAPL-2 classification categories, chi-square tests with Cramer's V, Monte Carlo verification for Daily Behaviour, Kruskal-Wallis tests with epsilon-squared effect sizes, and Dunn post hoc comparisons with Holm adjustment. The materials are provided to support transparency, methodological verification, and reproducibility of the doctoral research.

Steps to reproduce
Download the analytical dataset and the R Markdown file and place both files in the same working directory. Open CAPL2_Colombia_caracterizacion_reproducible_v2.Rmd in RStudio and verify that the input file parameter in the YAML header matches the analytical dataset included in this repository. Install the required R packages if necessary: readxl, dplyr, tidyr, tibble, purrr, capl, and knitr. Run the document using Knit → Knit to HTML. The workflow verifies the expected analytical sample and score availability, produces national and regional descriptive summaries, reproduces the official CAPL-2 classification categories, and evaluates their association with region using Pearson's chi-square test and Cramer's V. For Daily Behaviour, statistical significance is additionally verified using a Monte Carlo simulation with 100,000 replicates. Regional differences in continuous CAPL-2 scores are evaluated using the Kruskal-Wallis test with epsilon-squared effect sizes. Significant global comparisons are followed by Dunn post hoc tests with tie correction and Holm adjustment for multiple comparisons. The document includes automated checks to verify correspondence with the definitive thesis results and reports sessionInfo() for software reproducibility.
