Dataset for: Climate variability and anthropogenic groundwater stress in the Oglet Ahmed aquifer, northeastern Algeria: a multi-proxy diagnostic approach

This dataset supports the manuscript “Climate variability and anthropogenic groundwater stress in the Oglet Ahmed aquifer, northeastern Algeria: a multi-proxy diagnostic approach”. The repository contains the processed public data and article-level outputs used to verify the manuscript results. It includes AOI-averaged monthly CHIRPS precipitation, SPI12, and MODIS-derived NDVI, NDWI, NDMI, EVI, and LST time series; quality-controlled annual matrices for RUN A and RUN B; PCA outputs; NDWI sensitivity-test outputs; modified Mann-Kendall/Sen trend-test results with FDR correction; change-point test outputs; cross-correlation and robustness-analysis results; final article tables; public spatial context files; anonymized field-derived groundwater-level decline metrics; aggregate pumping-scenario estimates; and repository-safe verification scripts. Raw satellite rasters are not redistributed because they are publicly available from their original providers. Raw bi-dated well records and raw pumping-well inventory files are not included because they contain institutional/state well information, including exact identifiers, coordinates, static-level records, and individual pumping-well inventory data. Public anonymized or aggregate field-derived outputs are provided instead. The package is intended to support transparency, result verification, and reuse of the processed hydroclimatic and remote-sensing datasets. Users should cite both this dataset and the related article if using the data, outputs, or scripts.
