Statistical analyses were performed using Prism 10 (GraphPad Software, LLC, CA, USA). All data are presented as the mean ± SEM from at least three independent experiments. Comparisons between two groups were performed using a two-tailed unpaired Student's t-test, Welch's t-test, or the Mann-Whitney test, depending on whether the data met the assumptions of normality and homoscedasticity, respectively. For multiple-group comparisons, the following statistical approaches were applied: if data met the assumptions of both normality and homoscedasticity, an ordinary one-way ANOVA was performed, followed by Tukey's multiple comparisons test for post hoc analysis. If the data were not normally distributed, the Kruskal-Wallis test was used, followed by Dunn's multiple comparisons test. If the assumption of homoscedasticity was violated, Brown-Forsythe ANOVA was applied, followed by Dunnett's T3 for post hoc comparisons. Two-way or three-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's multiple comparisons test. In behavioral data analysis, provided that the data followed a normal distribution, outliers were defined as values lying outside the mean ± 2 SD range, and such individual mice were excluded. Detailed statistical parameters are provided in the figure panels and corresponding legends. A p-value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant, denoted as *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, and ***p < 0.001.
