Volumetric Behaviour Analysis (VBA) of Hong Kong Public Housing Flats - 3D Volumetric Models - Case 15PHTT2H
Description
This data package comprises 3D volumetric model documentation of a public high-rise building flat in Hong Kong. The research project record designates this flat interior as “Case 15PHTT2H”. The model documentation was developed as part of the Volumetric Behaviour Analysis (VBA) workflow, following a LiDAR scan of the flat interior conducted through a 12-minute walk-through using a Leica-brand BLK2Go 3D environment scanner. The model documentation provides a three-dimensional representation of the apartment structure, layout, interior spatial arrangement, and LiDAR-derived volumetric translation of the dwelling. It supports the interpretation of housing conditions in super-tall and super-dense housing units, including spatial organisation, interior configuration, and the relationship between public housing typologies and domestic occupation. Access to the data is granted only after a one-year period of restriction to ensure the protection of individuals’ personal information. The data is provided for future research examining housing behaviour in connection to spatial use.

Steps to reproduce
The source spatial data was gathered through a 12-minute scan of the high-rise public housing interior using a Leica BLK2Go Photogrammetry and LiDAR portable scanner. The resulting spatial documentation was interpreted through the Volumetric Behaviour Analysis workflow to produce 3D volumetric model documentation of the flat interior. The relevant 3D volumetric model and volumetric translation pages were extracted from the complete A2 panel document and saved as a separate PDF dataset for upload.
