Soundscape appropriateness evidence (2013-2026)

Description

Analysis-ready dataset underlying a systematic review and selective meta-analysis of soundscape appropriateness. Effect sizes and study descriptors were extracted from 67 empirical reports (describing 54 independent studies, 2013-2026), identified through a Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection search (18 June 2026) with forward citation chasing. The dataset supports the review's questions on how appropriateness is measured (RQ1), what drives it (RQ2), and its role linking sound sources to perceived soundscape quality (RQ3-4), including the six random-effects pooled correlations and the GRADE-adapted certainty ratings.
