Description
The original data presented here is related to the article "Mineralogical and geochemical characteristics and ore-forming mechanism of hydrothermal sediments in the middle and southern Okinawa Trough", Marine Geology. The data includes sampling information of investigated hydrothermal sediment samples collected from four hydrothermal fields in the middle and southern Okinawa Trough, chemical composition of carbonate-free fraction, characteristics of NASC normalized REE parameters of sediment samples in this study and relevant geologic end members, characteristics of (Gd/Yb)N, percentage of heavy minerals, δEu values of carbonate-free fraction in sediment samples from four hydrothermal fields in the middle and southern Okinawa Trough, and Average values of element enrichment factors of sediment samples in this study. These data can provide useful information to understand the origin and ore-forming mechanism of the hydrothermal sediments, and to provide indicators for hydrothermal activities in the Okinawa Trough.
