This prospective study recruited patients with new-onset ON in Shanghai, China between January 2015 and March 2017, and patients were followed up for 3 years. Clinical characteristics and optical coherence tomography were evaluated among the myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein seropositive (MOG-ON), Serum aquaporin-4 seropositive (AQP4-ON), and double seronegative (seronegative-ON) groups. Outcomes included the best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and relapse rate. Peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thicknesses were also measured.
