Survey Dataset on Environmental Attitudes and Intention to Pay for Urban Tree Plantation in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Description

This dataset contains cross-sectional survey data collected to examine environmental attitudes and residents' intention to pay for urban tree plantation in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The dataset includes 415 valid observations and 28 variables covering environmental concern, perceived benefits, perceived risk, attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, intention to pay, and selected socio-demographic characteristics. The dataset is designed to support empirical research in environmental economics, urban economics, behavioral economics, and environmental psychology. It can be used to investigate the factors associated with residents' willingness/intention to financially support urban tree plantation and related environmental initiatives. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire from urban residents in Dhaka. Attitudinal constructs were measured using multi-item Likert-type questions, while socio-demographic variables captured characteristics such as age, gender, income, household characteristics, residential area, duration of residence in Dhaka, and environmental participation. The repository includes the cleaned CSV dataset, a variable-level codebook, and a README file describing the dataset, variable structure, and suggested research applications.
