Description

This dataset contains the READ codes used to define the SLICC/ACR Damage Index within a UK routinely collected primary care research dataset (CPRD GOLD). A document outlining the methods used to identify each damage item using these codelists (e.g. test thresholds, calculations utilised such as for eGFR) is provided.

SLE cases were identified as per: Ellis J, McHugh N, Pauling JD, Bruce IN, Charlton R, McGrogan A, et al. Changes in the incidence and prevalence of systemic lupus erythematosus between 1990 and 2020: an observational study using the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD). Lupus Science & Medicine. 2024;11(2):e001213. This study used the CPRD GOLD January 2021 dataset build (https://doi.org/10.11581/v8hp-qa82).
