Methane Emissions from Egyptian Landfills: Multi-Sensor Satellite and GIS–IME Dataset (2022–2026)

Description

This dataset contains the observation-level data supporting the study of methane emissions from major municipal solid waste landfills in Egypt using NASA EMIT and Carbon Mapper/Tanager hyperspectral observations. The dataset includes satellite acquisition information, landfill locations, plume geometry, integrated plume methane mass, GIS-based Integrated Mass Enhancement (GIS–IME) emission rates, ERA5 meteorological parameters, seasonal classifications, and variables used for statistical and temporal analyses. The dataset supports the development and reproducibility of a multi-sensor satellite-based framework for landfill methane monitoring, mitigation prioritization, and MRV applications.
