- Data for: Variations in Pediatric Hospitalization in Seven European CountriesThe data in this article were used in the research article “Variations in Pediatric Hospitalization in Seven European Countries”.1 The data presents standardized in-patient admissions and total bed days for pediatric populations in seven countries. The data is disaggregated by diagnostic categories and age-groups. There is also an algorithm used to assign International Classification of Disease (ICD-9 and ICD-10) and the International Shortlist for Hospital Morbidity Tabulation (ISHMT) morbidity codes to diagnostic categories, which correspond to typical clinical departments. The data are being made publically available to facilitate more cross-country comparative analysis of the health utilization by different sub-populations.
