- Data for: Can Health Insurance Reduce Household Vulnerability? Evidence from VietnamThis dataset is from the 2010 and 2012 waves of the Vietnam Access to Resources Household Survey (VARHS). The surveys were carried out in rural areas of 12 provinces, producing a balanced panel of 2,045 households spread over 161 districts and 456 communes. The VARHS contains information on all the types of insurance that a household held at the time of interview, including health insurance. The 2010 and 2012 waves of the VARHS contain questions that allow us to measure an individual’s risk aversion which allows researchers to address an important source of endogeneity between health insurance and vulnerability.
