The database is a collection of all the operators (power plants) active in the North Italy bidding zone. Our effort has been that of matching the names/acronyms used in the market with the unit reference numbers, to estimate the maximum capacity of each operator and to establish which is the generation technology used by each operator in the list.

That is, the line resistances and active powers in those networks are kept and the others, like reactance components in all branches and reactive powers in all nodes, are neglected.

This dataset contains all basic information for Four transmission systems (IEEE-3, IEEE-6, IEEE-8, and IEEE-30 Bus). Those systems are commonly implemented to corroborate relay coordination models and to solve this optimization problem.
