  • Data for: Cardiac remodeling and higher sensitivity to ischemia-reperfusion injury in female rats submitted to high-fat high-sucrose diet: an in vivo / ex vivo longitudinal follow-up.
This file provides further information on materials and methods used in this study, as well as one supplemental table, and images of western blot used in the figure

  • Data for: Both low- and regular-fat cheeses mediate improved insulin sensitivity and modulate serum phospholipid profiles in insulin resistant rats
The file has 3 tables: Table 1 is the fatty acid profile of the diets used in this study. The fatty acids were quantified using gas chromatography. Table 2 is the complete serum metabolomic analyses for all analytes reported. Table 3 is the liver phospholipid profile (phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, and their ratio).

  • Data for: All-trans retinoic acid ameliorates inflammatory response mediated by TLR4/NF-кB during initial of diabetic nephropathy
The raw data showed in this article comes from the article entitled “All-trans retinoic acid ameliorates inflammatory response mediated by TLR4/NF-кB during the initiation of diabetic nephropathy”. Data illustrates the beneficial effect of ATRA in diabetes-induced early inflammation. Anti-inflammatory effect was evaluated in cortex renal, glomeruli, proximal and distal tubules through Western blot assay.

  • Modulation of autophagy in GR-HepG2 cells by Citrus flavonoids from bergamot: flow cytometry qualitative analysis of autophagy index
Bergamot Polyphenol Fraction (BPF) is a natural mixture of Citrus flavonoids extracted from processed bergamot fruits. It has been shown to counteract cardiovascular risk factors and to prevent liver steatosis in rats and patients. Hepatic effects of BPF correlate with its ability to stimulate liver autophagy. Six aglyconic flavonoids have been identified in the proautophagic fraction of the hydrolysis product of BPF (A-BPF): naringenin, hesperetin, eridictyol, diosmetin, apigenin and luteolin. This set of data addresses the effects of the six flavonoids on autophagy in HepG2 cells. The Excel file contains tables with mean fluorescence intensities values recorded in three independent experimental settings (each time in triplicate independent cell samples, in over 72 independent cell samples in total). This Excel file also shows how mean ATG index is calculated and normalized and performs statistical analysis of the data. Examples of flow cytometry dot-plots with raw data and relevant gates used for analysis are also attached. These raw data support the data presented in Fig. 4D of the manuscript published in Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry entitled “Analysis of proautophagic activities of Citrus flavonoids in liver cells reveals the superiority of a natural polyphenol mixture over pure flavones” by Lascala et al.
