- Data for: Blockade of TRPV1 receptors and FAAH endocannabinoid enzyme within the nucleus accumbens shell elicits anxiolytic-like effects in male rats. The functional role of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) and the TRPV1 receptors within the Nucleus Accumbens shell (NAc shell) remains unknown. Preclinical studies reported that the ECS modulates emotional responses. High density of CB1 and TRPV1 receptors are co-localized within the NAc shell. Therefore, ECS-TRPV1 interactions within the NAc shell might play a modulatory role in anxiety response. The present study aims to establish the role of ECS-TRPV1 interactions within the NAc shell on mediating anxiety. It is hypothesized that neurochemical regulation elicited by ECS within the NAc shell mediate anxiety-like behaviors in rodents.

- Data for: Functional unification of sex pheromone-receptive glomeruli in the invasive Turkestan cockroach derived from the genus PeriplanetaSupplementary movie file legends Supplementary movie 1 The right antennal lobe glomeruli of the male P. americana, showing two macroglomeruli responsive to periplanone-A (A-glomerulus) and periplanone-B (B-glomerulus). Supplementary movie 2 The right antennal lobe glomeruli of the male B. lateralis, showing a single macroglomerulus responsive to periplanone-A and periplanone-B (see text). Note that the glomerulus homologous to the A-glomerulus in P. americana has a size similar to those of ordinary glomeruli. Supplementary movie 3 Mating behavior of P. americana males evoked by the presentation of periplanone. Introducing periplanone-B (5 ng) soaked in filter paper evoked nearly instant mating behavior in males such as wing raising behavior oriented toward the pheromone source. Homsexual behavior with attempts to copulate with neighboring males was also observed. Supplementary movie 4 Behavior of B. lateralis males in response to the presentation of periplanone-B (5 ng) or natural sex pheromone extract (2 female unit). The males showed attraction to the pheromone source and carefully inspected it but never exhibited mating behavior, although the projection neuron that mediates this behavior is exquisitely sensitive to periplanone-B. The presentation of periplanone-A also never evoked mating behavior in the males. Supplementary movie 5 Mating behavior of B. lateralis males in response to the presentation of a female gently anesthetized with CO2. Immediately after careful inspection of the female with antennation, the males exhibited wing raising behavior and attempted to mate with the conspecific female.

- Data for: Differential Modulation of Mechanical Pain Threshold in response to Transcutaneous Spinal Direct Current Stimulation with Physical Activity LevelData showed variations in pain pressure thresholds determined at three sites in the lower extremity in two groups (MOD, moderately active, High, highly active) of young healthy adults before T0) and after (T5, T30) application of transcutaneous spinal direct current stimulation.

- Data for: MiR-1271 reduces proliferation and invasion in glioblastoma cells through targeting the CAMKK2 geneThis study found that microRNA-1271 (miR-1271) was significantly down-regulated in high-grade glioma tissues and GBM cell lines, while the CAMKK2 gene showed the opposite effect. We explored the roles of miR-1271 in the proliferation and invasion of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Our results showed that miR-1271 inhibited AKT phosphorylation and Ki-67 gene expression by targeting CAMKK2. Mir-1271 inhibited GBM cell proliferation and invasion by directly targeting the CAMMK2 gene. This may be the new therapeutic goal of GBM.

- Data for: Assessment of the association between NUS1 variants and essential tremorThe 5 coding regions and the exon-intron boundaries of NUS1 were directly sequenced in 395 ET patients and 395 healthy controls. A total of 6 exonic variants were identified. The table shows the basic demographic characteristics of the experimental group and the control group as well as the distribution of the detected variation.
