Geothermics

The data provides the explanation to the process of building a socioeconomic development model for a municipality in Poland. This data set explains the steps taken in order to reach to an indicator that interprets a local socioeconomic development as well as it provides a hint of methodology selection. We set the hypothesis that the introduction of a geothermal spa accelerates the socioeconomic development of the municipality in which it is established. This assumption is to be verified by socioeconomic development empirical observations of selected locations in Poland that have geothermal water parks in years 1995-2015. Further statistical procedures (Principal Component Analysis, switch regression model) help to verify the research assumption. A constructed indicator of local socioeconomic development undergoes observation together with the geothermal water parks parameters we develop as well. As a result we attempt to confirm the main hypothesis of our research. The data that serves to build the socioeconomic development model of a municipality is obtained from one source i.e. Central Statistical Office in Poland.

Data include the slip distance distribution for different injection rate and injection temperature, and profiles of fault pore pressure, stress state, permeability.

Raw XRD powder data for Sinter samples (name format T3-1; where T=Tokaanu, 3= site 3, and -1= sample 1) Raw XRD oriented clay analysis for soil samples (name format TC2-1; where TC=Tokaanu Clays, 2=site 2, and -1=sample 1). Untreated samples have no suffix; Glycolated have a GL on the filename, and heated a HT suffix on the filename.

The xrdml files are the diffraction patterns of all samples refined with the BGMN software in this study. The structure files for chlorite and two types of smectite were built-in to adjust to the types of clays encountered in these rocks, as described in the manuscript.

Four files are provided: 'Acoculco_deFractal_Zb.xlsx' contains the estimated base to the magnetic body after processing aeromagnetic data with the de-fractal method. 'mesh-elevation.txt' is an input file for the heat transfer numerical model of the Acoculco caldera. It is a Digital Terrain Elevation model based on a non-uniform mesh. 'mesh-Zb.txt' is also an input file for the heat transfer numerical model of the Acoculco caldera. It contains the interpolated Zb in a non-uniform mesh. 'EAC-1.txt' contains the temperature logs of well EAC-1 that can be used for calibration of a numerical model.
